Pokljuka is a fantastically pretty green plateau, belonging to the largest forested area in Triglav National Park. It’s a popular destination in all seasons, with nice Nordic walking trails for cross-country skiing and perfect terrain for ski touring, sledding and skiing in winter and hiking or cycling during the rest of the year. Due to the plateau’s altitude and geological structure, energy points are sprinkled around Pokljuka to make your trip there an even healthier venture. Pokljuka has its very own Biathlon training centre, a venue for one of the biathlon cups and other events and is a perfect base for ascending to neighbouring peaks, including Mount Triglav.
