Description
A day packed with true Alpine adventures. From an adrenaline descend down a fairy-tale canyon, to exploring the unspoilt outdoors of the Julian Alps, this trip guarantees an unforgettable experience of Slovenia’s natural treasures.
The Slovenian Alps are a natural wonderland of incomparable beauty. Hidden in this incredible environment are surreally pristine gorges and canyons which you simply have to experience first-hand. We will take you on one of the most authentic canyoning adventures in the magnificent Fratarica Canyon. Once geared up, the guide will take you on a 30-minute hike up to the top of the canyon. Then you’ll descend down its diverse features, jump into emerald pools, slide and rappel over numerous waterfalls. No prior experience is required, but do make sure you don’t suffer from vertigo, as part of this canyoning descent involves rappelling down a 48-metre-high waterfall.
Next on the list is a visit to Trenta, the upper part of the Soča Valley. This mystical place is like entering a world that time forgot. You will hike through the Soča Gorges up to the river’s source. The adventure will then continue on a much higher level, as we will take a driver over Vršič Pass. At an altitude of 1611 m, it is the highest road pass in Slovenia that leads into the very heart of Triglav National Park. The drive itself is an adventure all on its own. The road dates back to 1915, when it was constructed during WWI, and offers some of the most panoramic views of the Alps. The cherry on top will come in the form of stunning Lake Jasna, a small glacial spectacle near the Alpine hub of Kranjska Gora.
