Lake Bohinj is very different from lake Bled. More mountains, more nature… I took the cable car up to the ski resort and the views were amazing. We had a really nice drive in the forest in Triglav National park and learned so much about the place. I’m sure to come back soon!

Bled is spectacular and we wanted to see a few other gems of Slovenia. I was surprised to learn how quickly you can get from one place to another in this country. We went to see the Postojna cave and Predjama castle. Both are amazing. A perfect trip with a perfect guide and a comfortable ride with a minibus van. Highly recommend it!

About Venice

Venice, the capital of both the Venezia province and Veneto region in northern Italy, needs no introduction. But here’s a short one just in case. This island city was once the capital of the ancient maritime Venetian Republic and remains a major Italian port in the northern Adriatic Sea. Today, Venice is one of the world’s most famous tourist destinations. Written about in hundreds of poems and novels, the beauty of Venetian architecture is beyond compare. Marbled and frescoed palaces, bell towers, domes, churches, Venice mask carnival, canals and gondola boats that traverse down them – Venice has a colourful palette of charms you won’t find anywhere else. Upon entering this own, visitors are instantly bewitched and transported into another world. To protect this priceless heritage, Venice and its lagoon were designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987. We believe the description of this magical place is very appropriately given by Encyclopaedia Britannica as “the artistic and architectural patrimony of all humanity.” Everyone should travel to Venice at least once in their lifetime. But be warned, you will likely want to return.
