Postojna Cave is home to a wide array of interesting species living in its underground maze of passages. From various types of bats to unusual insects. Yet the most interestingly unusual among the cave dwellers is undoubtedly the endemic amphibian or olm, which carries the Slovenian translation “human fish”. Neither human nor fish, this strange creature could easily be described as a real-life miniature dragon.
