We’ll start our amazing journey in Ljubljana and travel to Slovenia’s iconic Lake Bled. After getting to know each other, we’ll let you in on what we have planned for the day, followed by
a stroll around the famous glacial lake and a few photography tips.
Fantastic photo ops will be of plenty at the nearby Vintgar Gorge. The emerald Radovna River, which carves its way through this natural spectacle, embellished by rocky backdrops and the pretty Peričnik Waterfall at the end, is guaranteed to create a ton of unforgettable pics.
Oh, just in case you were wondering: yes, we will have a picnic, drink a few cold beers in the wild outdoors, and have fun analysing photographic techniques. Our lunch-break will be in the picturesque Krma Valley, a photo shoot waiting to happen.
Another top-notch spot for landscape photography is the Vrata Valley at the base of Triglav, Slovenia’s highest mountain. The towering surrounding peaks give the forested valley, dotted only with occasional pastures, a special Alpine wonderland that should definitely be captured by your lens. If time permits, we’ll head over to the lower Martuljek waterfall along an undemanding yet super pretty hiking trail.
In the evening, it’s time for some obligatory sunset photos. And where else to take them than from a vantage point overlooking the breath-taking Lake Bohinj. If the weather fails us and clouds descend too low, we’ll choose another epic landscape sunset paradise location, like the magical Lake Jasna, with its snow-white shores and unspoilt surroundings.
This rewarding day will then draw to a close with our return back to Ljubljana where the multitude of superb pics will be compared.
