Perhaps less known as the famous Postojna Cave, but no less spellbinding, are the \u0160kocjan Caves. Descending into this underground spectacle of epic proportions makes you feel tiny in comparison. Magnificent chambers, sinkholes and a giant canyon transport you into a memorizing alien world. The \u0160kocjan Caves have been on UNESCO\u2019s list of world heritage sites since 1986. The entire area is of great cultural and historical significance as it has been inhabited by people since the Mesolithic period.
